ColourPop & Gerard Cosmetics Review

Check out my haul video from ColourPop & Gerard Cosmetics below and read on about my reviews after swatches and use.

First let me start by saying that both companies are cruelty free! WOO. Go ColourPop & Gerard. Major points!

Below are photos of the lipsticks I purchased from Gerard Cosmetics. Underneath each of the colors I used Laura Geller Lip Spackle on my lips to help cover my own lip color and not have it interfere with the color of the lipstick.

They were having a buy 4 lipsticks for $38 sale so I couldn't resist!

These lipsticks go on beautifully and have great pigmentation as you can see. They also last a pretty long time for regular lipsticks. I put Underground on after filming and it lasted until I ate. And I ate soup so it didn't stand a chance.

My favorite has to be Lilac Moon. It seems scary in the tube but when I put it on, I really enjoyed how it looked. Definitely different but a great pop of color for the summer and if you have tanned skin. It's the perfect amount of purple to seem actually normal on your lips!

Next, let's talk about my purchase from ColourPop Cosmetics. Below are four eyeshadows I chose to buy. I tried to go for colors I don't have currently. I picked a coral color, a true gold, a true silver & a bronze color.

The only one I have used so far on my eyes is the Birthday Girl shade which is the one in the pink tub. In this picture it looks like i really used it. The reason it looks like that is because it was so hard for me to try and get the eyeshadow on the brush. I even wet the brush with MAC's Fix+ first. It also didn't go on my eyelid so pigmented. Next time I will try applying these with my finger. I hear that is the best way.

I wasn't impressed with the formula of the silver I received which is called Swan from the Rumor Has It collection. We shall see how it applies on my eyelid. The coral shade is called Animal which I liked and the gold is called Get Lucky which seriously impressed me. It is so creamy, smooth & pigmented (you will see how much I love it in the video).

The lippie stix I bought is called Fiesta. I haven't tried it on my lips yet but at first swatch, amazing pigmentation and creaminess. It is a cream type of lippie six and the creaminess is abundant!

I also purchased a highlighter in Monster and a bronzer in Poolside. I've used both of these and am in love. The highlighter is very powerful and pink. But a beautiful pink reflection on the face.

The bronzer I've used multiple times and is a great go to for a bronzed, not contoured, look on the face. It has a bit of shimmer but that doesn't scare me and I think it looks very nice to warm up the face. The only thing that is challenging is that it is extremely creamy. It's called a satin bronzer but the consistency seems so close to cream. This can be hard when trying to get it on the brush. Worth the challenge though.

Overall I am very pleased with both companies and like all the products I received in addition to the  choices I made in colors and consistencies.

Bravo ColourPop & Gerard!
