Let's Talk Creams

Today I'm going to share with you my current skin favorites! Since using the following three skin care products, I haven't been dry or broken out. Can I get an AMEN?

Where do I begin? All three of these have changed the game for me. Starting with the bareMinerals Renew & Hydrate Eye Cream. This eye cream goes for $32 for .5 ounces. I bought this around a year ago at and still haven't run out. A very little bit goes a long way.

I tend to have a very dry eye problem. Eyes, around the eyes, eyelids. Dry on dry on dry. I try and apply this in the morning to be set for the day but it tends to sit on the skin and take a while to fully soak in. So if I don't want to look like a grease bucket going to work, I apply this at night with my night cream. Sometimes my concealer breaks apart from dryness under my eye so I put the ever so smallest drop around my eyes before applying makeup. This is only when I feel like I desperately need it. AKA: When it's below 30 degrees outside.

Ole Henriksen, I assume you are a person who created this glorious day cream. Can we meet? Share a cheers? Because your sheer transformation day cream is BOMB.COM.

This product was recommended to me by a Sephora employee in my local mall. They actually used it on me when color matching me for foundation. Right then and there I fell in love. It's pricey running at $65 for a huge tub at However I originally tried this with a mini tub running at $14. I love when they offer sample sized products for you to try.

The next is my absolute favorite. Open the heavens my dry skin gals, your savior is here. Night cream and/or oils are vital to everyone. Whether your oily or dry, you should put some sort of cream or oil on while sleeping. I have read that when oily, the extra oils will trick your skin into thinking it's already produced enough oil and therefor produce less during the day. How's that for the human body? Nighttime is also a great time for your skin to recover from the day.

This Mario Bodescu Caviar Night cream is thick. So thick that you will second guess putting it on your face and then have to wash off the remnants the next morning. Do it. Use it. I dare you. If I am having a bad skin day or feel like I didn't get my makeup off well enough that night, I will put extra of this on and wake up perfect. No break outs and the ones that were on my face will disappear. I'm going to start thinking I'm getting this on some sort of black market it's so good.

Mario Bodescu products are occasionally on Hautelook which is where I bought mine. You can also buy it at Ulta for $22.

Nothing is more important than taking care of your skin. After all, what are we putting all of that fabulous makeup on? These are my favorites but please find creams that work for you and use them religiously. You won't regret it.

August 2015 Ipsy Unbagging

Thinking about a makeup subscription? I unbag my August Ipsy bag in the video below! I haven't touched the package before filming so it's my real reaction. And boy does it show.

I also mention Boxycharm & Birchbox. Ipsy is $10/mo and so is Birchbox. Boxycharm is $21/mo but offers full size products every month. I'll probably do another video on this soon since I just signed up. Maybe I'll put my first on camera ;)

You know you love me,
xoxo Vanity View

First Date Makeup Tutorial

...Or your average brown smoky eye tutorial. Either way, this look will catch some glances in your direction.

It is also almost too easy to accomplish. I used 3 eye shadows, some basic black eye liner, a minimal amount of brushes, and just packed on highlighter where I saw fit around my face.

Let me know if you try this out for yourself!
